GHMC covers about 650 Sq.Kms comprises150 wards and HMDA covers 7257 Sq. Kms. with a jurisdiction of (5) Districts, (55) Mandals, 849 Villages. Aiming to increase the green belt with in GHMC and HMDA limits a massive plantation programme being taken up under TELANGANA KU HARITHAHARAM programme. 2500000 samplings are proposed to plant on 11th July, 2016. Around 86 institutions partnering with GHMC and HMDA to support the plantation programme. College students, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, Scouts, Guides, Non-Governmental Organisations, Community based organisations taking active role in the plantation campaign.
